Venue Spotlight: The Mills Fabrica London - Hire and What to Expect

If you are looking for a venue that says something about your brand before a single guest walks in, The Mills Fabrica is worth knowing about. Located in a repurposed Victorian warehouse a five-minute walk from King’s Cross station, it is one of London’s most distinctive event spaces, a sustainability and innovation hub that doubles as a hire venue for corporate events, product launches, panel discussions and brand activations.

What Makes The Mills Fabrica Different

Most hire venues are blank canvases. The Mills Fabrica is the opposite. The building houses a concept store (Fabrica X), a prototyping lab, a co-working space, and Ozone Coffee on the ground floor, all operating under one roof with a clear sustainability and tech-innovation identity. If your brand or event has any connection to sustainability, fashion tech, materials innovation or purpose-led business, this venue does half the work for you. The setting communicates intent in a way that a generic hotel conference room simply cannot.

    The Event Space

The Event space is 732 sqft. The building accommodates up to 100 guests, with a comfortable seated capacity of 40 to 60. It comes equipped with a large LED screen, professional sound system and an on-site kitchen for catering. The industrial aesthetic, exposed brick, high ceilings, original warehouse features, photographs well and creates a relaxed yet considered atmosphere that works particularly well for panel events, keynote sessions, brand launches and intimate corporate dinners.

Best for: product launches, sustainability-focused conferences, panel events, brand activations, and corporate dinners for up to 50

    Meeting Rooms

The Mills Fabrica has five private meeting rooms available to hire from approximately £60 per hour. These are well-suited to smaller sessions running alongside a larger event, pre-event briefings, or standalone away-day workshops. The combination of a main event space and breakout rooms in one building makes it practical for full-day formats.

Best for: away days with breakout sessions, workshop formats, and smaller team events of 10 to 30 people

    Location

The Mills Fabrica is located at 36–40 York Way, King’s Cross, N1 9AB. King’s Cross St Pancras is a five-minute walk with access to the Victoria, Piccadilly, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Northern lines, plus Eurostar and National Rail connections. Few venues in London are this well-connected from this many directions, which makes it a strong choice when guests are travelling from different parts of the city or arriving from outside London entirely.

    Important: Weekdays Only

The Mills Fabrica operates Monday to Friday, 8 am to 9 pm. It is not available for weekend hire. This makes it a strictly corporate-facing venue; it is not suitable for Saturday parties, Sunday events or evening social occasions outside of weekday networking. If your event falls on a weekend, you will need to look elsewhere.

    • The sustainability and innovation angle is a genuine differentiator, lean into it in your event comms if it fits your brand

    • Catering is available on-site with limited catering options via Fabrica X's coffee shop, with kitchen access for external caterers for larger evening formats.

Planning a summer party in London: what matters!

Most corporate summer parties in London lose momentum halfway through: guests leave after the food, senior staff leave early, and the energy dies. The problem isn’t the entertainment or décor. It’s the venue. Learn why layout, indoor backup, and flow matter more than DJs or activities when planning a summer party that people actually stay at.
