Once a Victorian coal warehouse, this space has been transformed into a versatile event and filming location, having played host to some of the most influential names in art, culture, music, and sport. The venue's raw, exposed brick walls and soaring high ceilings create a unique atmosphere, lending an edgy and distinctive character to any event, acting as a blank canvas for creative event planners. Offering 5,000 square feet across its main atrium and two arches, Village Underground can accommodate a variety of event formats. For a standing reception, the venue can host up to 500 guests, while theatre-style seating can accommodate 220, and long table dining can seat 150. A state-of-the-art stage, sound, and lighting rig is available for private hire, catering to events that require professional production capabilities. Flexible skylights in the roof allow the space to be flooded with natural daylight or completely blacked out, providing versatile lighting options.
